Workplace accidents can happen in nearly any field of work. From slipping on the stairs on the way to the office to falling from a scaffold at a construction site, many California workers are at risk every day they arrive at work. A recent industrial accident involved a man and a steamroller. It occurred in the morning in Eureka during the latter part of June. The local police received a call of a report of an industrial accident and arrived around 11:15 a.m.
Upon their arrival, the police learned that the male construction worker, who was in his 40s, had been run over by a steamroller. Miraculously, the man survived. The steam roller ran over his legs, chest and his pelvic area. He was quickly taken to a local medical center.
Although it’s not clear how the worker managed to suffer this injury, the fact remains that he probably will not be able to return to work any time soon.
